Join us to help build 80 beds for children in need
In Seminole County, many children lack a proper bed to sleep in. On February 8th, faith groups and community organizations will unite at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Lake Mary to provide these children with beds of their own. We invite you to join us and make a difference.
Special Thanks
This event is organized by representatives from Spring Meadow Seventh-day Adventist Church, Lakeside Methodist Church, Masjid al Hayy, Lake Mary & Oviedo High School, Seminole County Sheriff’s Office, and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
This activity was made possible thanks to
a humanitarian grant from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Who Can Attend
Everyone is welcome to volunteer at our upcoming event with Sleep in Heavenly Peace! Whether you're a skilled carpenter, a beginner eager to learn, or just have a heart for helping children, there's a role for you.
No prior experience is necessary—our team will provide all the tools and guidance you need.
Bring your family, friends, or community group and join us in building beds for children in need. Together, we can ensure no child in our community sleeps on the floor.
The Goal
The main goal of the event is to build 80 beds for children in need within the community, ensuring that no child has to sleep on the floor.
By coming together in partnership with Sleep in Heavenly Peace, participants aim to provide not just a comfortable place to sleep, but also hope, dignity, and a sense of care to local families in need. This event embodies the spirit of service and unity to make a tangible, positive impact in the lives of children.
The Purpose
Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) exists to ensure that "No kid sleeps on the floor in our town." Their mission is driven by the belief that every child deserves a safe and comfortable place to sleep. SHP builds and delivers beds to children in need, offering not just furniture but a foundation for a better night's rest, improved health, and a brighter future. Volunteers and donors play a critical role in bringing this heartfelt mission to life, fostering community connection and tangible change.
